Michigan Consolidated Gas Company Headquarters Office Building

1963 Detroit, Michigan

 Total Floor Area
42,000 SM

There were two major goals the client wished to achieve with this building. First was the consolidation of their administrative affices in one central location that would establish a strong, dignified image for the company in the community. Second was the desire to make a significant and lasting contribution to the development of the Civic Center District in the heart of downtown Detroit. The twenty-six story tower contains the administrative and executive offices. It is characterized by narrow, closely spaced windows which emphasize the vercality of the tower and allow for flexibility in office arrangement, while providing dramatic views of downtown Detroit and the river front.
