Invited by a committee to build a new foreign K~12th Grade School in Seoul, our firm’s entry sought to find a scheme that reflects a balance between “emotional health” vs “intellectual health”, “easternculture” vs “western culture”, and “creative” vs “rational”. By benchmarking successful campuses of secondary private schools of the world, we tried to create various plazas (& fields) that could be identified by the different user-types. A star-gazing tower located in the heart of the campus is a way finding device as well as a center of the school.
