This project is part of Heyri Art Valley Development Plan, which offers a community to artists, designers, musicians and scholars. Multi-uses and work-living spaces encourage new experiments and collaborations that will facilitate interactions across disciplines. Five separate building blocks surround a central plaza to provide different functions: libraries, classrooms, dormitories, a museum and galleries, a multi-purpose hall and a shopping mall. The project includes two housing residences within the development. The first residence consists of 38 dorm rooms as well as 18 art studios. The second contains 24 art studios and eight luxury style apartments. “Big Steps” leading to the central plaza are functioning as stages for various events and activities. The organization, the circulation and the materials used in this project all reflect the influences of art, culture, people and the environment.
